Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of Clearfield County Criminal History. Accessing the site means that you accept them. Anyone who does not agree should discontinue use.

NO FCRA USE. This privately run website has no local, state, or federal government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners offers a service designed for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose. It provides directions to criminal-record resources in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently of government. It does not store official criminal records, retrieve them for visitors, conduct official background checks, or submit legal forms.

Its content identifies Clearfield County police, jail, court, and sheriff channels, as well as the Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository and Pennsylvania Megan's Law Public Website. Some pages also connect visitors with third-party research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is conditioned on an agreement not to:

  • Violate federal, Pennsylvania, or local law
  • Stalk, threaten, or harass a person with information found here
  • Use site content for credit, employment, housing, or insurance decisions
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Run automated scrapers, bots, or similar tools against the pages
  • Interfere with site performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use site information or a linked tool to stalk, intimidate, threaten, harass, or discriminate against another person. Such conduct may also violate law. Pennsylvania Megan's Law registry information is published for public safety awareness. Misuse against a registrant or family member, including threats or harassment, may create criminal prosecution or civil liability under Pennsylvania law.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Clearfield County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Its advertising partners are not presented as providers for regulated screening. Site or linked-tool information may not be used to:

  • Make hiring or termination decisions
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Assess credit or determine insurance pricing
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A regulated purpose requires an appropriate official channel or a screening company that complies with the FCRA. This site's information is not a substitute.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General explanations of Clearfield County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, expungement, or limited-access rule applies to one person. Consult a Pennsylvania-licensed attorney for that analysis.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are supplied "as is," without a guarantee that:

  • Information is always complete, accurate, or current
  • Site access will be continuous
  • Pages contain no error, defect, or security weakness
  • A partner tool will return complete or correct results

Charges, dispositions, sealing, and expungement can change a record. Updates may lag. Site content is never an official statement by a Clearfield County office, court, sheriff, or Pennsylvania agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to government pages, court portals, legal resources, and outside search services. Those destinations are independently controlled. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, fees, availability, or accuracy. Review a provider's own terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Clearfield County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, modified, or used for derivative work without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from site use, including reliance on information obtained here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, actions, and demands arising from your use or violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Pennsylvania law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the site must be brought in a court located in Pennsylvania.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A new version takes effect when posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or terminated at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision is modified only as far as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be directed through the Contact page.
